Cinemaissí – Latinalaisamerikkalaisen elokuvan yhdistys is a non-profit association, registered in spring of the 2005. The association’s main purposes are to promote the projection of Latin American films, to keep a continuous forum for reflection and debate about the reality of the region and to promote the cultural exchange between Finland and the Latin American countries.

The association maintains a continuous net of collaboration and dialogue with representatives of diverse cultural and social areas. It has promote not only the creation of a film festival, but a forum of multicultural discussion in Finland where diverse actors, Finnish and international, have the possibility to a genuine communication in multiple levels, in spite of the cultural and language barriers.
