Cinemaissí – Film Festival is the association’s most visible activity. It is arranged every year with a main topic and its purpose is to offer a glimpse to the social, political and cultural diversity in Latin America and the Caribbean. As part of the debate and reflection activities, and coordinated with many academic institutions, different specialists are invited every year to the festival. This aims to promote the exchange of experiences and knowledge between directors, analysts, students and the general audience.
 
From the 2007, Cinemaissíto, the projection of Latin American and the Caribbean films for little children (and for the not so little as well) has developed its own space within the frames of the Cinemaissí Film Festival.
