21.-25.10. ICAIC Cinema poster exhibition

The making of the ICAIC posters was tantamount to a conceptual revolution in plastic arts in Cuba. The particularity of the Cuban cinematographic poster is the use of serigraphy in the printing of a graphic design. Applying a combination of the available technical know-how and aesthetic expression, they thus succeeded , in spite of the lack of funds, in producing remarkably expressive results.

A selection of the most famous posters of Cuban cinema of the 70's and 80's will be exhibited in cooperation with the Cuban Embassy. The films include Lucia by Raúl Martinez, Las Aventuras de Juan Quin Quin and Se Permuta by Eduardo Muñoz Banch, Vampiros En Habana by Nelson Ponce, El Viajero Inmóvil by Nelson Garcia and Guantanamera by Liseloy.
