This first edition is a bilingual anthology (Spanish and Swedish) of poems written by women born after 1960. Neither the poems nor their authors have been translated to Swedish before. Skräp-poesi is produced with the “cartonero” method developed by alternative publishing houses in Latin America, using economic impressions and title page production with cardboards in disuse.

    Lágrimas de Wayronco

    96′
    2007
    Documentary
    Peru/ Spain
    Dir. Jorge Meyer
    Spanish with English subtitles.
Not suitable for persons under 15 years.

The Andes have always cried. Jorge Meyer visits the villages and communities of Peru that have been scorched down during the terror year’s during the internal conflicts of the 80’s and 90’s. The Wayronco guides him on this journey along the jungle paths that lead into the recent memories of Peru. He is hypnotized by the humming sound of this insect.

He meets both victims and the perpetrators and they talk about the internal conflict involving the Shining Path (Sendero Luminoso), the Tupac Amaru Revolutionary Movement (MRTA), the Armed Forces, and generally the Peruvian political class.
Jorge Meyer pokes inside open wounds. Perhaps the human-cry-alike sound of the Wayronco Bee could already be heard when men came to live in these heights. Perhaps these people have gotten used to it a long time ago. And perhaps the Wayronco, having flown over these peaks since time is measured and knowing what one day would come, cried to give warning.

He is still crying, up there on the mountain, but not as a warning anymore - it is too late for that. He cries now so that no one will ever forget.

    2004
    Documentary
    Argentina
    Dir. Mariana Arruti
    Spanish with English subtitles.
Not suitable for persons under 15.

There are long lasting shots from the abandoned airport panning carefully through the details of what used to be the control tower. Between the walls a voice of past radio-news tells the story of the Trelew heroes as if time had extraordinarily allowed the AM waves to linger around among spider webs and aging newspapers. The newscast goes back 30 years in time. It’s Argentina and the year is 1972. Outside nothing but the the wind blowing over the planes as it always has around here.

Patagonia. August 15. Nearby stands the famous maximum-security prison at Rawson. We will soon learn how a group of nearly 100 guerrilla leaders, prisoners of the military dictatorship are to become martyrs of the largest singular massacre in modern times Argentina.

An escape plan will be set in motion. A dash into freedom will be attempted and the airport will be hopefully reached and a plane will be hijacked. Then, for some, it will be the beginning of a new life in exile, for others, the dream of taking the 1500 km. journey up-north to Buenos Aires and start planning the overthrow of the regime.

    Documentary
    Brazil
    Dir. Marcelo Arjones

    For all ages.

Marcelo Arjones and a group of students at the Oi Kabum School of Arts dive into the everyday life of one of the most popular characters in Latin American public transportation - the street candy vendor. The camera chases the “baleiros” and captures their radiophonic-like voices that make more than one of the passengers in the buses of Salvador (Brazil) smile. These youngsters and adults, members of the informal (non-taxed) working system, tell about the strange situations and prejudices they face in their daily attempt to sell “sweetness” in the city streets.

    Script: Eduardo Oliveira.
